May 2010 Updates
This months guest speaker was Glen Callanan. Glen is the Director of Interactive Sales for WGN Channel 9 in Chicago, IL. He spoke with to the club regarding social media practices and platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter.
The 2009 Decagon Awards ceremony recognized the best and brightest creative minds in the Decatur area. It all happened on Friday, May 14th, at the Beach House. Members and guests enjoyed the evening with an entertaining way of introducing the categories and their respective winners. Following the awards, Michael Scherer of Dream Vizion Productions played numerous smooth jazz selections for all to enjoy. Scherer has performed at jazz festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands and the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

May 2010 Updates
Decatur Ad Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters worked on some Arts and Crafts projects on Saturday, April 24th. Some of the funds raised by Trivia Night were used for the supplies needed to make “Green Men.” View more pictures in the Gallery.
April 2010 Updates
Professor Ed Walker of Millikin University brought his graphic design students to the April DAC meeting. This gave the students an opportunity to to explain their projects.
March 2010 Updates
The Decatur Ad Club is happy to announce that it’s first Trivia Night was a huge success! The Ad Club was able to raise over $2,000 for the Decatur Big Brothers Big Sisters! At the Ad Clubs March meeting, President Bart Greenberger presented Big Brothers Big Sisters Rep Zach Shields with an impressively large check. Big Brothers Big Sisters plan to use the donated funds towards a future “Big/Little” Arts and Crafts Day! The Ad Club is also sponsoring a Little and is very excited to do so! The Ad Club would like to thank everyone that was able to show support, without out you none of this would be possible! Go ahead! Give yourselves a pat on the back! Two Non-Profits working together to ensure a bright future for our youth.
