About Our Club

Founded in 1996, the Decatur Ad Club was a means for the burgeoning marketing and advertising community in and around Decatur, IL to meet, network, and learn amongst themselves on a regular basis. Through the years, the DAC has grown to welcome members from all corners of the creative community; and while continuing to favor marketing and advertising as it's subject de jour, the club has broadened its focus to more adequately appeal to it's diverse membership.

The creative output in Central Illinois is a force to be reckoned with. Truly, the creative professionals in this area are among the world's finest, whether working on a Fortune 500 media campaign or gig poster for a local band. The Decagon Awards, presented by the Decatur Ad Club (DAC), shine a much-deserved spotlight on this incredible work. Highly sought by artists, agencies, and clients alike, this prestigious award is presented at an annual awards ceremony having been judged by a panel of industry peers, and has come to symbolize the very best in creative media.
